Lloyds Bank Wholesale Banking & Markets named Bank of the Year for the Seventh Consecutive Year
For a seventh consecutive year, Lloyds Bank Wholesale Banking & Markets has been named ‘Bank of the Year’ at the Real FD/CBI Excellence Awards in recognition of its continued support for UK businesses.
The award, supported by the CBI and the ICAEW, is one of the most high profile across the industry, canvasses more than 1,000 finance directors for their views on companies that provide services to UK businesses, including the level of support they have received from their bank, and the support they believe they will receive in the future. As well as banks, the awards focus on the service provided by auditors, professional advisors and Government departments.
Our seventh successive win highlights the consistent support we have provided to businesses, including SMEs and larger Corporates, through the full course of the economic cycle. The award win follows the Group’s recent announcement that it lent £10.3 billion to businesses in the first three months of 2011 and £48.7 billion during 2010.
Diana Brightmore Armour, CEO Corporate Banking, Lloyds Banking Group said: "We want to be the best bank for corporates. Being recognised by Finance Directors for our support is testament that our approach is working.
There’s no doubt that times are tough for companies across the UK, and recovery is still to gain momentum. And as a relationship-led bank, we remain committed to supporting our customers through the cycle.”
“Winning the Bank of the Year Award seven years running is a fantastic achievement and one that we're very proud of and so we’d like to thank our customers for their ongoing support of Lloyds Banking Group."
