ACT Deal of the Year Awards - 2011
The ACT Deals of the Year Awards dinner was held in London on the 9th February, with Lloyds Bank acting as sole sponsor for the sixth year. The event celebrates the successes of treasury teams in the UK and internationally.
More than 100 corporate treasurers attended the prestigious occasion, which was hosted by Andrew W Géczy, CEO Wholesale Banking & Markets, Diana Brightmore-Armour, CEO Corporate Banking and Clare Francis, Head of Sales, joined by colleagues across the Bank, including Simon Allocca, Head of Loan Markets, who sits on the ACT Deals of the Year judging panel.
Diana Brightmore-Armour spoke about the difficulties treasurers have faced, given the backdrop of the Eurozone crisis and the introduction of austerity measures in the UK. She congratulated the audience members on their determination, innovation, teamwork and excellent execution in overcoming a challenging market and achieving success.
Additionally, Olympic gold medallist Sally Gunnell then joined Diana on stage to discuss the parallels between sporting and business excellence.
